About the team
At OSB Group, the Chief Controls Office team is an independent first-line assurance function responsible for ensuring the bank has effective systems, processes, and governance in place to manage risk, maintain regulatory compliance, deliver good customer outcomes and operate safely and ethically.
What you will be doing?
As the Outcomes Testing and Reporting Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead two complementary capabilities within the Chief Controls Office.
This is a strategic leadership role within the Chief Controls Office, offering the opportunity to shape how OSB Group tests, measures and reports on customer outcomes, regulatory compliance and control effectiveness. You will lead the Outcomes Testing capability, designing and continuously evolving a modern, outcomes-based approach that provides independent first-line insight into whether the Group is consistently delivering good customer outcomes. The role will drive innovation in testing methodologies through greater use of data, analytics, automation and AI, ensuring testing becomes increasingly efficient, scalable and insight-led.
You will also lead the Chief Controls Office Reporting & Insight function, transforming data from across Business Risk & Control, Complaints & Remediation, Procurement & Vendor Management, Operational Resilience and Outcomes Testing into clear, forward-looking insight that supports Executive decision-making, identifies emerging risks and opportunities, and drives continuous improvement.
The role has line management responsibility for four direct reports together with wider leadership responsibilities across UK and India teams.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Lead the development and delivery of the Outcomes Testing & Reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with the Chief Controls Office vision, regulatory expectations and the Group Risk Management Framework.
- Build and lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team across the UK and India, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.
- Own and continually enhance the Group Outcomes Testing Framework, delivering a risk-based programme of thematic and business-as-usual testing across products, services and customer journeys.
- Provide independent oversight and assessment of customer outcomes, identifying emerging customer harm, conduct risks and control weaknesses while supporting timely and sustainable remediation.
- Drive the transformation of testing capabilities through automation, data analytics and Artificial Intelligence, increasing efficiency, coverage and insight through innovative and predictive testing approaches.
- Lead the delivery of integrated Chief Controls Office reporting, providing clear, accurate and insightful management information to Executive, Board and governance stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into meaningful business insight, identifying emerging risks, trends and opportunities, and enabling informed decision-making through compelling reporting and analytics.
- Champion strong risk management, data governance and regulatory compliance practices, ensuring customer-focused outcomes, effective control environments and adherence to all organisational policies and standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
