About the Role
Are you passionate about the outdoors and the difference it can make to young people's lives?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and committed Outdoor Education Tutor to join our dedicated team and help create memorable learning experiences beyond the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire pupils with autism and additional needs through practical, hands-on learning that builds confidence, independence, resilience and life skills.
From leading Forest School sessions and developing horticulture projects to supporting pupils to achieve nationally recognised awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, John Muir Award and AQA Unit Awards, you'll play a key role in preparing our young people for adulthood through meaningful real-world experiences.
No two days will be the same. You'll spend much of your time outdoors delivering engaging activities, while also planning programmes, coordinating educational visits and working alongside colleagues to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.
What you will be doing
- Deliver engaging outdoor learning programmes including Forest School, horticulture and enrichment activities.
- Lead pupils towards recognised accreditations including the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, John Muir Award and AQA Unit Awards.
- Plan and support educational visits, outdoor adventures and community-based learning opportunities.
- Develop inspiring outdoor learning environments and horticulture projects that promote wellbeing, enterprise and preparation for adulthood.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging communication, confidence, resilience and independence.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessment while ensuring activities are safe, enjoyable and accessible.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
