Casual Outdoor Education Instructor for Conway Centre

Wage: £62.88 - £76.73 per session

Contract: permanent

JOB TO START IN SEPTEMBER 2026

The Role

We seek an outdoor professional to join our permanent Outdoor Education Instructor team to deliver outdoor sessions to children and young people. Ideally, we are looking for a member of staff with experience of operating on the sea in moderate conditions as well as delivering land-based activities.

We require you to be passionate and committed to teaching high-quality Outdoor Education to our customers, who return year after year. The role will involve sharing the responsibility for the preparation, planning, coordination, and evaluation of the outdoor residential courses. As well as inducting guests and assisting in maintaining equipment and facilities, whilst working closely with the outdoor team and adhering to our risk management processes.

We are looking for people whose background will allow them to demonstrate a calm, considered, and professional approach to working with a diverse clientele who may require additional support or considerations.

We are open to all applicants who can demonstrate a few years of experience working with children and young people in the outdoors. We particularly seek staff who have demonstrated their competence by gaining national governing body awards in the activity categories we provide;

  • On the water we provide canoeing, kayaking, raft building, sailing, and stand-up paddleboarding.
  • On the land we provide climbing, high-level ropes, zipwire, bushcraft, mountain biking, and via ferrata amongst others.
  • For offsite adventures, such as gorge walking, coasteering, and mining, you will require minibus/trailer qualification (D1+E) and up-to-date CPC and digital tachograph card.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
