The University of Greater Manchester is a “Teaching Intensive, Research Informed, Assessment Enabled” higher education institution offering distinctive, high-quality, student-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that attract students worldwide.

About the Role – Outreach Practitioner (Chartered Manager Degree Apprentice)

We are recruiting a Charter Manager Degree Apprentice (CMDA) to join our Foundation Programmes team in the role of Outreach Practitioner.

  • Marketing, administration, and recruitment to ensure student conversion onto EHEAP and their subsequent progression within our university.
  • Engaging with local communities to identify and address barriers faced by disadvantaged groups, including care-experienced individuals, non-traditional learners, and those in areas of deprivation.

  • Serving as a key link between the university and community partners, fostering trust, inclusion, and support for underrepresented groups.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders and engaging effectively with diverse people and services, both within the university and externally.
  • Any relevant travel may be required, depending on stakeholder engagements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
