Outsource Manager (Character Art)

Climax is one of the leading creative lights of independent games development with an outstanding line of top published titles. It truly is an exciting and inspiring place to work in the heart of Edinburgh, overlooking the beautiful castle.

We are seeking a talented, fully onsite Outsource Manager to join our character art team. Our ideal candidate will have strong art direction and leadership skills to be able to manage and provide detailed feedback to external art teams. They must also be an AAA experienced artist with solid modelling and excellent character art skills

Requirements

Someone who is self-motivated, friendly, gregarious with attention to detail and a passion for delivering the best possible game experience Excellent at managing deadlines & budgets, with excellent time management and interpersonal skills Strong character, weapon, and environment modelling skills Experience using Maya Experience using Unreal 4 and Unity Experience using Substance Experience using ZBrush Extremely quality oriented

Responsibilities

Work closely with the art teams, sharing feedback and keeping things running smoothly between internal and external teams Create clear documentation, references, and examples to help external teams understand art requirements and workflows. Review incoming art assets, give constructive feedback, and make sure everything meets our quality standards before approval. Be able to create high quality models, environments if required Implement approved assets into the game engine and make any necessary tweaks to ensure everything is polished and game ready To coordinate with the art team leads to schedule and track incoming assets
