Outsourced Senior Manager

Outsourced Senior Manager – Tax & Finance (Guildford, Surrey)

Our client, headquartered in Guildford, Surrey, is looking for an outsourced Senior Manager to strengthen their specialist tax team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to SMEs, aiding business performance, growth, and decision-making.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, financial reporting and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, VAT and relevant accounting regulations.
  • Lead regular client meetings to review financial performance and offer commercial insights.
  • Collaborate closely with audit, tax, and payroll teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Identify financial risks and implement effective controls and processes.
  • Manage, coach and develop finance teams and outsourced finance functions.

Candidate Profile

  • Must hold an ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Requires significant experience in an accountancy practice outsourcing function.
  • Proven track record in advising UK SMEs across multiple sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to supporting high-growth businesses, scale-ups, or turnaround projects.
  • Experience in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, or exit planning.
  • Familiarity across sectors such as professional services, technology, manufacturing or similar.
