Outsourcing Supervisor

Our client is an established and progressive firm of Chartered Accountants based in Reading, at the heart of the Thames Valley. They provide accountancy, taxation, and outsourced solutions to both businesses and individuals, tailored to meet the ever-evolving needs of their clients in the Thames Valley and beyond.
Role Description
Reporting directly to the Partners, the role involves assisting with the accounting requirements of corporates and owner-managed businesses and includes:
- Supervision of the members of the Outsourcing team, ensuring fair allocation of workload to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Supervising and training junior staff with their bookkeeping work and monthly management account preparation tasks.
- Workflow management and reporting.
- Liaising with managers in the Accounts team to provide end of year packs for processing into statutory format.
- Resolving clients' bookkeeping and VAT queries in a timely manner.
- Preparation of quarterly and monthly management accounts for larger, more complex jobs.
- Provision of Xero training to new and existing clients.

Experience
- Prior accountancy practice experience.
- An ability to work without direct supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of accounting software (ideally SAGE, Quickbooks, Xero) and general computer literacy.
- A good working knowledge of VAT for small businesses.
- Attention to detail with ability to work to deadlines in a busy office environment.
