Senior Outwards Reinsurance Technician – London Market
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced outwards reinsurance technician to join a specialist London Market insurance business.
This role would suit someone with:
- Strong outward reinsurance experience
- Deep quota share experience, ideally gained within both Syndicate and Company markets
- Experience working effectively in collaborative reinsurance functions
About the Role
Working as part of a reinsurance team, you will support activities across the full ceded reinsurance lifecycle, with key emphasis on:
- Ensuring accurate, controlled information
- Maintaining robust process integrity
- Facilitating efficient workflows via clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Quota Share Agreements
- Assist in operational activities relating to quota share processes
- Coordinate and prepare agreement-related documentation

Reinsurance Documentation
- Prepare, review, and coordinate key reinsurance information and documentation

Underwriting Integrity
- Collaborate with underwriters to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability of data

Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal teams and external market contacts for seamless project execution

- Process Improvement & Controls
- Support reporting, management information (MI), and process controls within the reinsurance function
- Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at optimising systems, processes, and work practices
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven reinsurance background with preference for experience in both Syndicate and Company Markets
- Knowledge of LORS (London Office Register System) would be an asset
- High analytical skillset with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with cross-team and external partnerships
