Project Manager – Transmission Infrastructure (ASTI Project)

About Omnia Projects Established in 2012, Omnia Projects is a respected specialist in T&D engineering, project management, and technical assurance. With over 110 staff, the company has delivered critical infrastructure for clients including National Grid, helping to shape the UK’s evolving energy system.

As part of Egis Group, Omnia provides end-to-end expertise across the full energy project lifecycle—from feasibility and design to commissioning and operation. This role strengthens Egis’ integrated service offering for energy transition, grid modernisation, and high-voltage infrastructure projects, including:

  • Civil and structural engineering
  • Protection and control systems
  • Project delivery for substations, overhead lines, and cable tunnels

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic ASTI (Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment) project with a deadline at the end of 2029.

This critical position involves:

  • Overseeing a £40m transformation project at Tilbury and Gravesend, including the construction of new cable tunnels beneath the River Thames.
  • Managing the disconnection and decommissioning of existing 27km of overhead lines between Tilbury, Kingsnorth, and Grain substations.
  • Coordinating interfacing projects with the Great Grids Partnership for reconductoring and uprating.

As a member of the Project Management Team, you will work closely with National Grid’s Contractors to ensure compliance with regulations, budgets, and deadlines while maintaining safety, sustainability, and quality standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
