Overnight Respite Support Worker

Overnight Respite Support Worker: A-ND Highlands

Location: Main Office Units 9-10 Bridgend Business Park, Dingwall, IV15 9SL. Overnight respite location The Haven Suites.

Salary:

  • Hourly rate between 7am-11pm: £13.45
  • Flat rate during sleeping: £97.68
  • Awakening hours (between 11pm-7am): £115.20

Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Shift Patterns: Full 18 hour Overnight (Sleeping only) 3pm - 9am

A-ND (www.a-nd.org.uk) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Neurodiversity Support Workers (NDSW) to join our team in Dingwall, Highlands.

The Role

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support during overnight respite stays for neurodiverse individuals, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

  • Provide overnight supervision and support tailored to individual needs, including personal care, emotional reassurance and personal outcomes.
  • Follow individual personal plans, risk assessments and communication needs.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care.
  • Support individuals with transitions, bedtime routines, and morning preparations.
  • Monitor and respond to health needs, including administering medication (if trained and authorized).

Requirements

Preferred:

  • Valid driver's license, although non-drivers will be considered if all other criteria are met.

Essential:

  • A passion for working with neurodiverse individuals and a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.
  • Must register with SSSC.
  • Valid driver's license, although non-drivers will be considered if all other criteria are met.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications, although full training will be provided.
