Oxbridge Graduate - Aspiring Secondary Teacher | Tower Hamlets
Are you an Oxbridge graduate with a passion for education and a long-term goal of becoming a secondary school teacher? A high-performing, inclusive Secondary School in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is offering an exceptional opportunity for a talented graduate to gain hands-on classroom experience in a structured and supportive environment. This full-time, term-time only position starts ASAP and is ideal for an Oxbridge graduate eager to build classroom experience before progressing onto teacher training (Schools Direct, PGCE, or salaried routes).
Role Summary
- Support a specialist subject department (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, etc.)
- Work with pupils across KS3-KS5, delivering targeted interventions and enrichment activities
- Provide 1:1 support to SEN students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
- Receive structured training, mentoring, and CPD throughout the year
- Play an active role in promoting academic excellence and student wellbeing

Salary & Start
- £22,000 - £26,000 per annum (term-time only)
- Full-time | January 2026 - July 2026
- Potential to progress into a teacher training role from July 2026
Person Specification
- 2:1 or First-Class Degree from Oxford or Cambridge University
- Excellent academic background (AAA at A-Level or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge and intellectual curiosity
- Confident communicator with a passion for learning
- Empathetic, patient, and motivated to make a difference
- Genuine commitment to a career in teaching
