A fantastic Primary School in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is recruiting aspiring Primary Teachers to work as Primary Teaching Assistants from September 2026 on a full academic year (FT & LT) basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role: Primary Teaching Assistant
-
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Provide Phonics, Reading, Writing, and Maths interventions
- Conduct 1:1 and small group work
- Assist with General Teaching Assistant duties in class
- Help stretch high-attaining pupils and support those below age-related expectations
- Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech & Language needs
- Support EAL pupils where necessary

Salary:
- £110–£115 per day (full-time/long-term for full academic year)

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Requirements
- Must be a graduate of Oxford, Cambridge, or another Russell Group University
- Degree preference: 1st Class or 2:1
- Strong GCSE & A-Level performance
- Aspiring Primary Teacher mindset
- Exceptional literacy and numeracy skills
- Confidence in working with young children (e.g., effective communication, engagement)
- Genuine passion for education and child development
