About the Role: PA to the Director of SEND

A vacancy has opened due to the current SEND PA’s promotion to Assistant SENDCo. Finham Park is seeking an ambitious, organised, and compassionate candidate to partner with the Director of SEND across the following priorities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Principal liaison: The primary point of contact for:
    • Parents and carers ( Gateway communications, meetings, and updates).
    • Internal staff (consultations, training, and SEND policy consistency).
    • External partners (EHCP assessments, multi-agency coordination).
  • Secretarial excellence: Diary management, email coordination, attendance at multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and annual collection of student data for the Gateway SEN register.
  • Administrative leadership: Monitor management of the SEN student review system, track progress against EHCP targets, and handle ethos and behaviour roles (attendance policy, student discipline).
  • Quality assurance: Attend professional development sessions with the Gateway team to inform and refine SEND provision.
  • Ensure seamless collective working between SEND and classroom teams, supporting a truly inclusive culture.

Requirements & Qualities

  • Qualifications: Preferably a Level 2+ or 3 qualification in a combination of PA/Support Assistant or relevant administrative field.
  • Experience: Previous secretarial or SEND coordination roles are essential. Candidate must bring a collaborative, outcome-driven mindset and an unwavering commitment to inclusivity.
  • Interpersonal skills: Critical thinking to balance confidentiality and support with a welcoming, empathetic tone in all communications.
  • Administrative agility: Eagerness to manage commissioning, data capture, and external agency liaison (health, social care, etc.).
  • UK right to work: If successful, you’ll need to provide proof of eligibility (visa/sponsorship is not available).
