Personal Assistant to Head of Alleyn’s Hampstead
Cognita and Alleyn’s Schools Group Partnership
Cognita has partnered with Alleyn’s Schools Group to create two leading independent day schools in north London.
This collaboration combines:
- Cognita – one of the world’s largest independent education groups, with over 100,000 students across 21 countries
- Alleyn’s – south London’s renowned co-educational day school, named Co-educational School of the Year 2025
As part of this partnership, North Bridge House Regent’s Park Prep and North Bridge House Hampstead are transitioning to become Alleyn’s schools:
- Alleyn’s Regent’s Park successfully opened in September 2025, serving pupils aged 3–11.
- Alleyn’s Hampstead (opening September 2026) will offer a pre-prep to senior school education (ages 2–18), combining academic excellence, creativity, and pastoral care with an Alleyn’s ethos.
We are now seeking a highly skilled experienced Personal Assistant to the Head at Alleyn’s Hampstead.
About the Role
As the Personal Assistant to the Head, you will provide confidential, high-level administrative and organisational support, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Head’s office.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex diary, coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and appointments with discretion and efficiency.
- Prepare correspondence, documentation, and reports with meticulous accuracy, ensuring complete confidentiality.
- Draft and circulate minutes of key board and committee meetings, maintaining accurate records.
- Organise school events, builds, and executive hospitality, ensuring seamless delivery.
- Support operational aspects of the school, including resources and communications between SLT and stakeholders.
- Provide proactive, solution-focused support to the Head in decision-making processes, personal and professional.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, trustees, staff, parents, and external partners to ensure clarity of communication and alignment of objectives.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised, proactive professional with:
- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, excelling in both formal and informal settings.
- Unwavering discretion when handling sensitive information.
- A strong ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Advanced IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and dissemination tools (e.g., BookTrip, Enrol Manager, Digidue).
- Proven experience in senior administrative support, preferably within an educational or business setting.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer care while building positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and pupils.
