PA to the Head

Personal Assistant (Maternity Cover) – Abbot’s Hill School

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Personal Assistant to provide outstanding professional administrative, secretarial, and organisational support to the Head, ensuring the smooth running of the school while covering maternity leave.

This is a critical support role, requiring high organisation, trustworthiness, and discretion, with the ability to engage effectively with the entire school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive administrative and secretarial support to the Head, including scheduling, correspondence, and meetings.
  • Manage confidential documentation with integrity and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with staff, students, and external stakeholders across the school community.
  • Handle multitasking efficiently while maintaining a calm and solution-focused approach.
  • Assist in ongoing professional development and strategic initiatives, including the expansion of pupil numbers in alignment with Mill Hill Education Group’s goals.
  • Contribute to the school’s operational efficiency and support its long-term growth.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a busy Personal Assistant role, ideally within an educational or leadership-driven environment.
  • Exceptional organisation and multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with staff, parents, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft suite, email management systems, etc.).
  • Highly discretionary with confidential information handling.
  • Can-do attitude, resilience under pressure, and proactive problem-solving.
