Job Description
Cadent is the UK’s largest Gas Distribution Company owning and operating four of the eight UK Gas Distribution Networks across the East of England, London, Northwest and West Midlands; spanning over 131,000 kilometres of pipes. Cadent transport gas safely and reliably to 11 million homes across their networks and operate the Gas Emergency Helpline for the whole of the UK. Costain is appointed as the Construction Management Organisation to manage the planning and delivery of the annual network investment programme for the East of England Network.
Your role as a pack Compiler is to provide the required pre-construction information for gas pipeline construction schemes in readiness for the tendering process and for construction phase to commence and to maintain this pre-construction information to remain in date and valid during the duration of construction.
This is a hybrid role role based 3 days in Witham, Essex and 2 days working remotely, flexible / dynamic working arrangements can also be discussed to balance the demands work and life place on your time.

Responsibilities
Create and build the section of the project health and safety file that contains the required pre-construction information. Monitor the validity of pre-construction information and provide timely updates as required. Monitor changes to the construction programme to enable flexibility and timeliness around the provision of pre-construction information. Work as an integrated team member to flexibly respond to workload changes.

Qualifications
Experience Required/Technical
IT literate Knowledge of the CDM2015 regulations Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, policy and procedures, an understanding of
Environmental legislation.
Use of mapping software. Interpersonal Ability to work alone or as part of a team Ability to provide accurate information Proven track record of working in and contributing to high performing teams Able to self–motivate and operate with minimum supervision, good communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications Required/Essential
Relevant experience in an engineering discipline Good IT skills including use of O/S based mapping software Desirable Gas/Utilities experience CDM 2015 awareness Environmental awareness
Behaviour Competencies
Consistently demonstrate high standards of safety behaviour Good communication skills (both verbal and written) Capable of providing accurate and timely information
IT Skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Ability to understand and operate GIS mapping systems.
