Packaging Designer

Junior Designer Manchester City Centre – Northern Quarter | £27,000–£29,000 + Excellent Benefits


About the Role

An innovative Manchester-based organisation is seeking a talented Junior Designer to join its in-house Creative Studio, based in the vibrant Northern Quarter. This is a fully on-site role, collaborative and supportive, with immediate involvement in exciting design and marketing projects.

predominantly working Monday to Friday.

Key Projects:

  • Developing packaging concepts and product mock-ups
  • Creating client visuals and sales presentations
  • Designing brochures, sales sheets, and promotional materials
  • Producing social media graphics and website banners
  • Generating online product imagery and marketing collateral

Drawing from FMCG, packaging and marketing expertise, you will interpret design briefs diligently and ensure all creations align with established brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality visual assets for branding, marketing, and promotional materials
  • Exploring new design trends while maintaining brand consistency
  • Collaborating across in-house teams (design, marketing, and product development)
  • Seeking feedback constructively and refining designs iteratively

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Adobe Suite mastery: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and design principles
  • Proficient in digital asset creation—stock automation for varied outputs

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail coupled with efficient organisation
  • Ability to manage multiple project deadlines under pressure
  • Analytical and adaptable mindset for fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork to foster collaboration

Experience Needed

  • Relevant design education or equivalent experience minimum x0
  • Portfolios showcasing marked progress from foundational training
