About the role
We are now looking for a Packaging Designer to join us in London or Prague and help shape the future look and feel of Vilgain products across international markets. This role is ideal for someone who has a sharp visual eye, strong packaging craft, and the ambition to create designs that feel clean, modern, premium, and commercially strong.
Currently, our packaging team is based only in CZ, and the UK packaging setup is still being built. We need someone hands-on, independent, and confident enough to bring ideas, challenge standards, and turn concepts into production-ready packaging.
What you will do
- Design packaging for food, supplements, and lifestyle products from early concept to final production-ready artwork.
- Develop strong visual concepts that are aligned with Vilgain’s brand, product positioning, and international growth.
- Work across different packaging formats, SKUs, categories, and markets while keeping the brand consistent and scalable.
- Collaborate closely with packaging technologists, product developers, quality, regulatory, and suppliers to make sure ideas are not only beautiful, but also technically feasible and compliant.
- Think in design systems, not just individual labels — helping us build packaging that can scale across a growing portfolio.
- Bring strong typography, layout, hierarchy, colour, and detail into every project.
- Prepare clean, accurate files and support the process through to final artwork and production.
- Challenge the status quo and help us push Vilgain packaging beyond standard FMCG design.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
