Packaging Engineer / Packaging Analyst
Join a Luxury Automotive Leader as a Packaging Engineer / Packaging Analyst in Gaydon!
Our client, a renowned name in high-performance automotive manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Packaging Engineer / Packaging Analyst to support their innovative supply chain and logistics operations in Gaydon. This is a temporary, ongoing opportunity for a minimum of one year offering a 39-hour week, hours from Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and refining packaging processes, including returnable containers, pallets, and delivery frames
- Analysing packaging utilisation, damage rates, and repair trends to identify improvements
- Building cost models and business cases for new packaging solutions and continuous improvements
- Supporting new packaging launches, engineering changes, and project milestones
- Managing packaging data, supplier performance, and waste metrics
- Producing KPI dashboards and reports on costs, availability, and supplier performance
- Collaborating with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure compliance and performance
- Supporting sustainability initiatives, waste reduction, and environmental compliance
- Assisting with health & safety assessments and packaging design approvals
- Developing analytical tools and simulation models for planning and forecasting
- Supporting new model programmes and engineering changes

What you'll bring:
- Experience in packaging engineering, logistics, or supply chain analysis
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and database management
- Knowledge of returnable packaging systems and material handling
- Strong supplier management and KPI tracking experience
- Understanding of lean principles, cost reduction, and continuous improvement
- Ability to support projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Awareness of budget control, forecasting, and environmental standards
- Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
