Packaging + Print - Creative Production Manager (Midweight / Senior level) Full Time - 5 Days a week.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Black Ink Projects family, we're looking for someone who is passionate about culture and design, super organised and self-motivated to join our team of Creative Producers.
Black Ink Projects is a creative ideas and R+D studio with a highly proficient fabrication offering.

The Role
This unique position requires a creative problem solver who is passionate about design and how things are made. We are a small but mighty team; you will be given your own projects from the start bringing our clients' briefs to life.
We want you to be excited by beautiful things and care about intelligent design and creating work of quality and integrity for the biggest brands in the world.
This role will be very varied working across multiple projects at any one time so no two days will be the same but primary responsibilities and tasks will include:
- Running multiple projects from ideation to completion by yourself & within the team
- Building client relationships & developing ongoing new business
- High level of organisation on projects, going above and beyond to ensure the clients have exceptional level of service
- Building relationships with partners to collaborate with depending on the needs of projects
- Researching and sourcing production elements across every medium depending on client brief
- Designing creative packaging to fit the client’s needs & budgets
- Creative thinking on how the packaging can elevate the end user’s experience whilst being as sustainable as possible
- Creating mood boards & presentations to demonstrate your ideas
- Sketch/Model ideas to articulate your designs to the Team / Partners / Clients
- Researching and identifying latest key trends/materials to inspire and develop designs
- Liaising with partners to gather costs and timelines for production
- Managing timelines and logistics, delivering the clients projects on time & within budget
- Being the main point of contact for clients, ensuring they are a part of the project journey
- Ordering materials and samples, managing client sign off and production orders
- Ensuring everything we make is to the highest quality and as sustainable as possible
- Tracking costs / timings and project budgets
- Multi-tasking multiple projects, suppliers, clients across multiple time zones
- Reporting into wider team on project status
- Constant awareness of new production processes and materials, especially on any improvements we can make to increase the sustainability of a project

Who you are
The perfect person for this role will be creative and passionate about design and culture. A positive and friendly individual who wants to be a part of our incredible team. Being proactive to creatively solve problems and meticulous attention to detail is an absolute must for this role.

Must have skills & experience:
- A background in design (ideally 3D or packaging) but we are open to various creative fields, we want every team member to bring their own unique experience to the team
- Production knowledge – experience working with suppliers / factories (Bonus if specifically print or packaging production knowledge)
- Product sourcing
- Managing shipping and delivery logistics
- Design and production experience, between 3-4 years in a similar role
- Meticulous eye for detail, taking pride in what you do and the quality you deliver
- Problem solver with a positive, proactive and common-sense approach to solutions
- Adept at working across fast paced multiple projects, highly motivated with the ability to plan, work and manage your own time with a high degree of independence and autonomy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and confidently both verbally and in writing, building client relationships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative to find solutions and efficiencies
- Proficient in Excel
- Team player with a professional, positive and friendly attitude
- Willingness and hunger to learn and develop
- Awareness in current cultural trends across fashion, beauty and luxury markets
Bonus skills & experience would include:
- Existing network of partners & suppliers
- Ability to mock up designs using photoshop / illustrator
- CAD drawings / renders
