Packaging Quality Engineer | Monster Energy

Location: London (based)
Travel: ~40% across EMEA

Monster Energy is one of the world's leading energy drink and lifestyle brands, sold in more than 150 countries worldwide. Across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, it's Monster's Quality function that keeps that promise real: from raw ingredient through to the can on shelf. It's a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment where the brand's edge isn't just marketing. It's how the business operates.

Spent the last few years in packaging audits, specs and copack sites? Monster Energy's EMEA Quality team wants to hear from you.

The Role

Reporting into the QA Director Europe and the QA Director Africa, this role owns packaging quality across the EMEA region: auditing can, lid and preform manufacturers, validating specs at copack sites, and resolving nonconformances before they reach the shelf. Based in London, with travel of around 40% across EMEA.

What You Will Do

  • Audit packaging manufacturing and copack sites across cans, lids and preforms
  • Own technical integration from concept through to production
  • Validate specs across cans, glass and PET bottles, trays, multipacks, closures and shrink wrap
  • Handle consumer and customer complaints tied to packaging
  • Monitor line performance and run the claims process
  • Work with Engineering and NPD to resolve nonconformances

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5+ years in Packaging Engineering or QA
  • Degree in Engineering, Packaging, Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Science. A Master's is a plus
  • Comfortable on a plant floor and in front of a KPI deck
  • Able to travel around 40% across EMEA
  • Confident auditing and building relationships directly with copack sites and component suppliers, not just working from behind a desk

  • Organised and adaptable, able to prioritise across multiple sites and priorities at once

Why Monster

  • Genuine ownership of packaging quality across a fast growing EMEA portfolio, not just a checklist role

  • A brand where getting the detail right on packaging protects everything else Monster stands for
