Luxury Packaging Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Luxury Packaging Technician to join our production team. This role is focused on the creation of high-end, bespoke packaging solutions where precision and quality are paramount. You will be responsible for the end-to-end hand-finishing and assembly of luxury boxes, ensuring every product meets our rigorous brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Hand-Finishing: Execute complex handwork tasks including full-surface gluing, mounting, and lamination with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assembly & Construction: Work within an assembly line environment to construct rigid boxes, ensuring seamless joints and perfect alignment.
  • Quality Control: Conduct continuous inspections throughout the production process to identify and rectify any defects in material or finish.
  • Workflow Management: Manage individual tasks to meet strict production deadlines without compromising on the aesthetic quality of the final product.
  • Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a tidy and organized workbench and production area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in print finishing or high-end luxury packaging.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in full-surface gluing and the application of various laminates and fine papers.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a "right first time" approach to delicate handwork.
  • Reliability: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to production schedules.
  • Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for repetitive, intricate assembly tasks.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of various paper weights, textures, and adhesives.
  • Experience operating basic finishing machinery or gluing stations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving within the assembly process.

The role is temporary-to-permanent basis. The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, working 9:00am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. Based in Uckfield TN22/TN21.
