STADA UK Thornton & Ross – MS&T Packaging Technician
Huddersfield | U.K. | Full-time | Permanent
Step into a role where your ideas on the outside make a real impact on what’s inside. As our MS&T Packaging Technician, you’ll be the driving force behind smarter, faster, more cost-effective packaging for a global operation—optimising existing formats and leading the creation of new ones from first sketch to in-store launch.
You’ll sit at the heart of the MS&T organisation, shaping how products are presented and produced, and strengthening the scientific oversight of manufacturing processes to improve quality across the board. If you’re ready to own packaging innovation end-to-end and see your work on shelves worldwide, this is your stage.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Own end-to-end packaging development at site level – from applying global standards to championing smarter solutions for new and existing products.
- Safeguard quality and compliance by ensuring packaging meets all technical, regulatory and sustainability requirements, and by approving change controls.
- Lead packaging trials and factory optimisation, using deep understanding of production capabilities to cut complexity, reduce complaints and eliminate process-related recalls.
- Act as the technical packaging expert for internal teams and external partners, leveraging supplier capabilities and cross-functional collaboration to drive better materials, service and quality.
- Scan the horizon: attend industry events, track regulations and evaluate new technologies to unlock packaging innovation and sustainability opportunities.
- Deliver measurable impact through on-time tech transfers and launches, robust CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement that strengthens GMP, H&S and overall operational performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
