As a Packaging Technologist in the No7 Beauty Company, you will work in a busy and fast-moving cross-functional team to deliver new and innovative packaging solutions. You will help create amazing products by developing design ideas into packaging that delights our customers, manages cost effectively, and maintains our sustainability standards. The role uses a mixture of packaging technical knowledge, high levels of organisation, and a creative eye to develop packaging from concept to manufacture.
This role reports into the Packaging Manager for No7 Gifting and is part of a team of Packaging Technologists supporting the iconic No7 brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for delivering the packaging, proofing, design roll-out, and artwork activities for our key brands – No7, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle, and Botanics.
- Uses packaging technical expertise to innovate, optimise, challenge thinking, and ensure the best packaging is developed for the No7 Beauty Company brands.
- Manages packaging design to optimise cost, quality, and technical feasibility.
- Carries out detailed technical testing to ensure the packaging is robust and will survive manufacture, distribution, and consumer use.
- Ensures sustainability is at the heart of our brands’ packaging development.
- Brings great organisational skills to busy and fast-moving projects and can communicate brilliantly.
- Accountable for quality of data accuracy including key manufacturing and specification documentation.
- Conducts all necessary due diligence and is accountable for identifying and effectively managing packaging technical risks.

What You’ll Need to Have (Our Must-Haves)
- A background or education in Packaging Design, Product Design, or Materials Science.
- Proven track record of developing packaging from design concept to market, ideally within an FMCG environment.
- Excellent knowledge of key packaging technologies, manufacturing, print processes, and artwork.
- Proven ability to manage risk, priorities, and overall timings for complex technical projects.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Great organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of people.
- Able to present information in a clear, logical, and structured way.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Experience in sustainability initiatives within packaging.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in packaging.
