Lead Packaging Technologist
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: Competitive
Term: Permanent
SRG is partnered with a beauty product development and manufacturing business, based in Bedfordshire. They are now looking for an experienced Lead Packaging Technologist to join the team. This company has a supportive, collaborative and social culture. This role would suit creative candidates with 3+ years’ experience in packaging innovation, sustainable packaging and packaging trends, packaging development, and packaging briefs within the personal care / skincare / bath and body care and cosmetics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end packaging development projects from concept through to commercial launch
- Manage and mentor a direct report, supporting their development and day-to-day workload
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and suppliers to deliver robust packaging solutions
- Drive continuous improvement across cost, performance, and sustainability initiatives
- Oversee artwork and specification approvals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot packaging challenges during production, implementing effective solutions
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure all packaging specifications are up to date

Requirements
- Strong background in packaging development within FMCG, personal care, or a related industry
- Proven ability to lead projects and support/mentor junior team members
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Full right to work in the UK, there is no sponsorship available for this role
