Padel Coach
Head Coach (Padel) – Smash Padel
At Smash Padel, we’re one of the UK’s fastest-growing padel networks, committed to expanding our reach and making padel accessible to more communities. We’re seeking passionate, inspirational coaches to lead the next generation of players, shape Outstanding experiences, and drive growth in our sport.

Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant coaching qualification in Padel, Tennis, or another participation sport.
- Essential level of IT literacy.
Desirable
- First Aid qualification.
- Safeguarding qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Experience coaching individuals and groups in a sporting, social, or leisure setting.
- Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.
- Success in team environments, collaborating effectively with others.
Desirable
- Industry-specific background in padel, racket sports, leisure, or hospitality.
- Experience coaching children or adult teams of all abilities.
- Involvement in athlete development programs, tournaments, or community participation-based events.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with diverse audiences.
- Passion for coaching and player development—you’ll thrive on helping others improve.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with players, teammates, and wider stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities to manage sessions, bookings, and resources efficiently.
- Willingness to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Desirable
- Understanding of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles.
- Knowledge of participant growth and retention strategies.
- Familiarity with safeguarding, welfare, and best practice in sports coaching.
Coaching Delivery Responsibilities
- Deliver programme-aligned coaching sessions, adhering to Smash Padel’s standards.
- Create engaging, safe, and enjoyable group and individual experiences.
- Adapt soft-skills and technical coaching to suit:
- Different ages.
- A variety of skill levels.
- Support player progression through structured coaching pathways.
- Organise and deliver one-on-one and group sessions with adaptable flexibility.
Player Engagement & Experience
As an ambassador for the brand, you’ll empower players to stay connected, enjoy the game, and grow as part of the sport:
- Foster positive, inclusive relationships with members of all abilities.
- Foster player retention through better experiences and pathway awareness.
- Promote participation opportunities across Smash Padel activities (gym sessions, tournaments, clubs).
- Act as a face of Smash Padel, showcasing the branding across venues and online.
Programme & Community Support
- Support heading staff (Head Coach, Centre Manager) in securing the success of:
- Coaching programmes (e.g., online, offline, school-based).
- Schools camps, events, entry standards, and competitions.
- Assist in programme development around:
- Increasing accessibility.
- Player engagement predictions of future growth.
- Event operations, including influencing parking use, facility logistics, and coordinating external activities.
Safety, Compliance & Operations
- Safety first: Fully follow health, safety, and safeguarding policies for coaching and venue operations.
- Ensure session policies meet legal, club, and contractual requirements.
- Organise sports equipment, court bookings, and need a spot for live recces or hotshot opportunities.
- Accurate.recordkeeping (meal plans, immunisations, venue access reports) with attention to deadlines.
