Complex Care Support Worker – Sketty, Swansea

Join our team as a Complex Care Support Worker and make a meaningful impact in the life of a young boy with profound needs.


Roles Available

  • Days: Weekday (08:00–11/12:00 & 14:15–19:00) and weekend shifts (09:00–15:00, half term 08:30–19:00). £17–£18/hr
  • Waking Nights: 22:00–07:00. £18/hr

About the Role

You’ll support a young boy with dystonia, epilepsy, visual impairment and severe communication difficulties, helping him maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle through physical/emotional care at home with his family. Expected to bond with the client through patience, empathy, and engaging in shared interests such as reading, swimming, or outdoor activities.

  • Paediatric experience, preferably with brain injury/neurological conditions
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in complex care, including managing challenging behaviours
  • Compassionate, reliable, and flexible approach
  • Willingness to work independently and collaboratively

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor condition and administer medication
  • Assist with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily/nightly care
  • Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to live an inclusive life
  • Maintain accurate care records
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and the family
