About the Role
An exciting fixed-term vacancy for a dynamic Band 6 Children’s Clinical Research Nurse has opened, enabling you to join the outstanding Wolf CRF (Clinical Research Facility) team.
The role supports the delivery of high-quality research and clinical care for children and young people, spanning therapeutic areas such as neurology, renal disorders, and infectious diseases. All studies are conducted exclusively within Wolf CRF, covering both early- and late-phase trials.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead consultation and care delivery for enrolled participants
- Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and the multidisciplinary team, including sponsors, to ensure rigorous clinical governance, participant safety, and advancement of study standards
- Work within both non-commercial and commercially funded research environments
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic nursing care to children/youth and families across trials, ensuring seamless patient pathways and monitoring needs
- Oversee research set-up, patient screening, recruitment, education, and continuous data monitoring & documentation
- Lead consent-taking (in studies not involving medicinal products) following essential training
- Build robust systems to optimise clinical processes while maintaining strict regulatory compliance
- Contribute to 'expanding clinical knowledge and professional development, including roles requiring mentorship or team delivery

Induction includes:

Standard hours are Monday–Friday (09:00–17:00); however, flexibility may be requested to accommodate patient visits or urgent assessments.
Experience & Qualifications
- Essential: Strong paediatric clinical skills
- Proficiency in managing complex needs, including deterioration recognition and intervention
- Ability to liaise effectively with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and researchers
- Highly desirable: Previous research experience (though training will be provided)
Secondment discussions encouraged in advance with your line manager.
