Exciting Opportunity in Paediatric Diabetes Care
An exciting opportunity to provide high standard care to children and families with Diabetes. You will work collaboratively with, and lead a team of Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses. You will work alongside an experienced paediatric consultant with specialist expertise in Diabetes. An extended multidisciplinary team will also be on hand to offer support. The post holder will work across the UHCW and Rugby St Cross site, whilst occasionally needing to attend meetings within community settings.
The post holder will be involved in developing and delivering expert patient-centred care based on local and national guidance. Care delivered will include patient assessment, planning and implementing of specialist care, provision of advice/support and education in collaboration with the wider MDT including child protection/safeguarding teams.
The post holder will be involved in audit, assist in leading a small team, participate in network meetings and provide education to medical and nursing staff within the unit in order to improve quality and enhance care delivery.
Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Role Responsibilities
The post holder is an expert clinical practitioner in paediatric diabetes, working autonomously as a key member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT). They will play a pivotal role in the delivery and development of paediatric diabetes clinical pathways, ensuring the provision of high-quality, patient-centred care that achieves excellent clinical outcomes. The post holder will fulfil the integrated roles of clinician, educator, researcher, and leader, providing expert care, professional leadership, and strategic direction to support the delivery of specialist paediatric diabetes services.
