An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated dietitian to join a team of Paediatric dietitians providing a dietetic service throughout the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre area. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dietitian looking to advance their career within a specialist field and work with 3 other Paediatric dietitians who cover areas such as diabetes, cystic fibrosis, eating disorders, home enteral feeds and feeding clinics.
UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this post.
We are ideally looking for somebody with at least 2 years post registration clinical dietetic experience together with some knowledge and experience of working with Paediatric dietetics. Additionally applicants should be able to demonstrate their ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team. The successful individual will be responsible for a varied Paediatric caseload which will include covering the acute Paediatric wards, undertaking outpatient clinics both dietetic and Consultant led and covering for the Band 7 dietitians during their absence.

Job Summary
- To work as a senior autonomous practitioner as part of the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTH) Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetic Team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and Health Professionals with a wide clinical remit.
- To assist with the provision of service using knowledge, skills, and experience as an independent practitioner.
- To contribute as appropriate to the Trusts clinical governance programme by taking a lead within the specialist area for audit, development and implementation of evidence based guidelines/protocols and continuing professional development.
- To keep accurate records in accordance with BTH and Health Professionals Council Regulations/Policy.
- To be actively involved in research, audit, development and implementation of evidence based protocols and standards of care within paediatrics.
- To act as an expert nutritional resource and to be actively involved in the education and training of dietetic students and other health professionals within the Trust.
- To be involved in the development of and maintain evidence based educational resources.
