Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Mainstream Schools
Service Area: Schools across Westminster and Chelsea
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00

Job Overview
Pulse is now recruiting an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to support mainstream schools across the boroughs of Westminster and Chelsea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician with strong educational experience to deliver high‑quality therapy within a well‑established service. The role is based at The Medical Centre, Woodfield Road, with travel to local schools. A car is not required for this position.
The successful candidate will work closely with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support children and young people with communication needs, contributing to statutory assessments and delivering provision outlined in EHCPs.

- Provide assessment and intervention for children in mainstream school settings
- Complete EHCNAs and contribute to statutory reporting
- Deliver therapy and support in line with EHCP requirements
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider professionals
- Apply a whole systems approach to support communication needs across school environments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration (required)
- Experience working in mainstream schools
- Competence in completing EHCNAs and delivering EHCP‑based provision
- Strong understanding of the whole systems approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
