- Fixed-term until end of April 2027
Work Environment & Scope
This role offers an incredible opportunity to:
- Work collaboratively within our ambulatory care setting at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
- Develop a broad range of clinical skills, including:
- Skin prick testing
- Burns and wound care
- Suture removal
The post is based across Carousel, Fairground, and Rainforest Outpatients and involves flexible rota work across these departments. Opportunities also exist to support outlying clinics, including:
- St Michael’s Hospital (STMH)
- South Bristol Hospital
- Weston General Hospital

Working Hours
- Mon–Fri: 08:00–18:00
- Weekends: 08:00–13:00 (flexible rota)
Requirements
- Preceptorship completion is essential (excludes Newly Qualified Nurses).
- Ability to manage a busy workload and make timely, informed decisions.
Successful Candidates Will
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues
- Prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
- Show flexibility and adaptability in a changing pace
- Possess experience in burns and wound care dressings
- Apply clinical theory to practice confidently
