About the Role

Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Global Touring

Location: Chiswick, London (Hybrid, 3 days in the office) Contract: Full-time / Permanent


About Global Touring

Global Touring hosts three distinct travel brands: [Topdeck Travel], [Back-Roads Touring], and [Grasshopper Adventures].

Together, we design travel experiences that encourage people to explore the world differently—whether through social group adventures for 18–32-year-olds, intimate small-group tours in lesser-known destinations, or active travel experiences by bike and beyond.

While each brand has its unique audience, personality, and style, we share one unwavering vision: to redefine group travel and make it anything but ordinary.


Role Overview

We’re seeking a Paid Media Manager to drive growth across all our brands. This is a hands-on, performance-driven role for someone who thrives on visible impact, data-driven decisions, and close collaboration with platforms.

Your core responsibility? Building, optimising, and scaling paid media campaigns (Google, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and beyond) to increase bookings, improve ROI, and align media spend with commercial goals.

Key tasks will include:

  • Monitoring performance in real-time, adjusting budgets, testing audiences, and refining creative.
  • Ensuring paid media campaigns are precision-targeted, commercially focused, and aligned with each brand’s unique strategy.
  • Leading cross-brand optimisation while supporting a direct report to provide clear guidance and structure.

You’ll need to be analytical yet practical, thriving in a fast-paced environment where small tweaks make a big difference.


Key Responsibilities

You’ll own the following deliverables:

  • Develop, manage, and optimise paid media campaigns across:
    • Google Ads (Search & Shopping)
    • YouTube Ads
    • Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
    • TikTok Ads
    • Emerging platforms
  • Oversee key aspects of campaign setup:
    • Structure, budgets, bidding, targeting, and tracking
  • Daily optimisation to improve:
    • Booked revenue
    • CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)
    • ROAS (Return On Ad Spend)
    • Revenue contribution per brand
  • Run test-and-learn campaigns for:
    • Audiences
    • Formats
    • Messaging
    • Creative performance
  • Conduct keyword research, search term analysis, and negative keyword optimisation.
  • Review creative performance to:
    • Identify strong hooks, hooks, and messaging
    • Direct brand teams on briefing, testing, and refreshing assets
  • Recommend optimal channel mix and budget allocation shifts based on:
    • Current performance
    • Growth goals and opportunities
  • Ensure budget pacing aligns with strategic goals and avoids wasteful spend.
  • Produce clear performance reports with actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Utilise dashboards, attribution tools, and platform data for holistic, funnel-wide analysis.
  • Streamline reporting and tracking improvements across teams.
  • Explore AI and automation to enhance efficiency, save time, and ramp up optimisation efforts.

Managerial responsibility:

  • Provide guidance and oversight to one direct report, ensuring accountability and clarity in performance goals.

Experience & Skills

Essential Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, or digital acquisition, with a focus on résultats.
  • Proven track record managing search and social campaigns (Google, Meta, TikTok) directly.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Google Ads
    • Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads
    • TikTok Ads
  • Ability to structure, optimise, and budget paid campaigns within platforms.
  • Deep commercial mindset, prioritising outcomes like:
    • Booked revenue
    • CPA
    • ROAS
    • ROI (Return On Investment)
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose data, spot performance shifts, and recommend fixes.
  • Experience running A/B tests and multi-variable experiments.
  • Creative sensibility to evaluate and adapt paid assets for maximum impact.
  • Confidence in data-driven recommendations for budget distribution and channel strategy.
  • Ability to juggle multiple campaigns while maintaining a high focus on delivery.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Dashboards (Google Data Studio, Tableau)
    • Attribution modelling
    • GA4 (or comparable analytics platforms)
  • Clear and actionable communication for explaining insights—extend beyond raw numbers.
  • Curiosity-driven approach to exploring new platforms, formats, and tools.
  • Uses AI or automation to optimise workflows.

Bonus Considerations

  • Experience working within multiple brands or markets.
  • Background in travel, e-commerce, retail, lifestyle, or DTC industries.
  • Hands-on experience in team management or mentoring another specialist.
  • Knowledge of YouTube, Reddit, or other emerging paid channels.
