Paid Media Manager – Global Touring

Reporting to: CMO, Global Touring

Location: Chiswick, London (Hybrid, 3 days in the office)

Contract: Full-time / Permanent

About Global Touring

Global Touring is home to three travel brands: Topdeck Travel, Back-Roads Touring and Grasshopper Adventures.

Across our brands, we create travel experiences that help people see the world in different ways—from social group adventures for 18–32s, to small-group touring through lesser-known local places, to active travel experiences by bike and beyond.

While each brand has its own audience, personality and style of travel, we share one vision: to be the antidote to ordinary group touring.


Role Overview

We’re looking for a Paid Media Manager to help drive growth across all our brands.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused paid media role for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, close to the platforms and close to the work. You’ll be building, managing, optimising, and reporting on paid media campaigns across channels including Google, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and emerging platforms.

You’ll play an important role in helping each brand:

  • Reach the right customers
  • Improve marketing efficiency
  • Turn media spend into measurable bookings and revenue

This means being active in the platforms, monitoring performance, adjusting budgets, testing audiences, reviewing creative performance, and spotting opportunities to improve results.

You’ll work closely with brand marketing teams to ensure paid media activity is:

  • Commercially focused
  • Well-targeted
  • Aligned with each brand’s audience and priorities as they evolve

You’ll also manage one direct report, helping them stay focused, supported, and clear on what good performance looks like.

This role suits someone who is analytical, practical, and commercially minded—someone who enjoys detail, checking pacing, spotting trends, and knowing what to test next. You don’t need to overcomplicate things, but you must be curious, commercially focused, and confident making recommendations.


What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and optimisation of paid media activity across Global Touring’s brands. This includes:

  • Building, managing, and optimising paid media campaigns across Google, YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and emerging platforms
  • Managing campaign setup, structure, budgets, bids, targeting, and tracking within the platforms
  • Monitoring performance regularly and making changes to improve:
    • Booked revenue
    • CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)
    • ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
    • Revenue contribution
  • Running test-and-learn activity across:
    • Audiences, formats, channels, creative, and messaging
  • Carrying out:
    • Keyword research
    • Search term reviews
    • Negative keyword management
  • Reviewing paid creative performance:
    • Identifying strong hooks
    • Formats
    • Messaging
  • Working with brand teams to:
    • Brief
    • Test
    • Refresh paid creative assets
  • Recommending:
    • Channel mix
    • Budget shifts based on performance, targets, and growth opportunities
  • Tracking budget pacing and ensuring spend is used effectively
  • Reporting on performance with:
    • Clear insights
    • Actionable recommendations
  • With dashboards, attribution tools, and platform data:
    • Understanding full-funnel performance
  • Supporting improvements in reporting, tracking, and performance visibility
  • Using AI and automation where helpful to:
    • Improve efficiency
    • Streamline reporting
    • Free up time for optimisation
  • Managing and supporting one direct report

Experience and Skills

You’ll need:

Required

  • 4+ years’ experience in paid media, performance marketing, or digital acquisition
  • Proven experience managing paid search and paid social campaigns directly
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Google Ads
    • Meta Ads (formerly Facebook Ads)
    • TikTok Ads
  • Experience managing:
    • Campaign setup
    • Optimisation
    • Budgets
    • Reporting within platforms
  • A commercial mindset, with a focus on:
    • Booked revenue
    • CPA
    • ROAS
    • ROI
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with performance data
  • Experience running tests across:
    • Audiences
    • Creative
    • Messaging
    • Formats
  • A good understanding of:
    • Paid creative performance
    • How to spot what is working
  • Confidence making recommendations on budget allocation and channel mix
  • Ability to:
    • Work at pace
    • Prioritise effectively
    • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Familiarity with:
    • Reporting dashboards
    • Attribution tools
    • GA4 (Google Analytics 4)
  • Clear communication skills and ability to explain performance in a simple, useful way
  • Curiosity to explore new platforms, formats, tools, and ways of working
  • Confidence using AI or automation to improve day-to-day efficiency
