Why Receptional and Why This Role

We're the team iGaming operators turn to when growth matters most — and we're growing fast ourselves. At Receptional, you'll find colleagues who are bright, ambitious, and genuinely supportive. Specialists who do their best work together, sharing ideas, moving fast, and holding themselves to a high bar.

Whether you're starting out or stepping up, you'll get genuine investment in your development through our internal academy, real variety in your work, and a direct impact on some of the biggest names in the industry. Competitive benefits, flexible working, and a team that has your back.

We were named Marketing Services Supplier of the Year at the EGR B2B Awards 2026, and Best Medium Agency to Work For at the Company Culture Awards 2025 — recognition for the work we do and the place we've built to do it.

Paid search in iGaming demands a level of precision and compliance awareness you won't find in most agency environments. The budgets are significant, the regulatory requirements are strict, and clients expect a manager who can own their accounts with genuine autonomy — not someone who needs constant oversight.

As a Paid Search Manager at Receptional you'll be running Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns across a portfolio of iGaming clients, owning compliance for your accounts, managing up to two direct reports, and working closely with the Senior Paid Search Manager on strategy and client development. It's a specialist role with real ownership, clear progression, and the kind of technically demanding work that keeps experienced paid search professionals genuinely engaged.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a specialist paid search role with real autonomy and line management responsibility. You'll be owning the day-to-day management and strategy of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns across a portfolio of iGaming clients — working with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with the Senior Paid Search Manager on planning and client development. You'll also own iGaming compliance for your accounts and manage up to two direct reports, so the ability to lead as well as deliver is essential.

In Practice, That Looks Like

  • Owning day-to-day management and optimisation of Paid Search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and associated display and performance formats
  • Conducting daily account checks to identify issues and opportunities — acting on findings promptly before clients notice them
  • Monitoring spend and performance against client KPIs — escalating risks early, never sitting on them
  • Owning iGaming compliance for your accounts — ensuring all campaign activity, ad copy, and landing page requirements meet advertising regulations, responsible gambling requirements, and geo-targeting rules
  • Managing day-to-day client communication across your portfolio — building trusted relationships and delivering performance reports with strategic commentary
  • Working with the Senior Paid Search Manager to develop strategy plans for your clients and contributing to quarterly reviews
  • Managing and developing up to two direct reports through regular 1-1s, work reviews, and constructive feedback
  • Implementing AI-driven workflows across your accounts — monitoring impact on efficiency and sharing learnings with the team
  • Contributing to paid search audits, new business proposals, and award entries
  • Keeping Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising certifications current

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What We're Looking For

You'll need to be a strong practitioner who can operate with genuine autonomy — someone who owns their accounts, spots issues before clients do, and brings strategic thinking to every campaign they touch. iGaming adds a compliance layer that not every paid search professional has experience with, but if you're thorough, detail-oriented, and take regulatory standards seriously, we'll get you up to speed. You'll also be managing direct reports, so clear direction, honest feedback, and genuine investment in people development comes with the territory.

Essential

  • 3+ years' experience in Paid Search advertising, preferably agency-side
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads — Search, Display, and Performance Max
  • Google Ads certified — current and maintained
  • Ability to manage client relationships independently — you prepare and deliver presentations with confidence
  • Good campaign planning capabilities — budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across multiple accounts
  • Willingness to line manage and develop junior team members
  • Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities without things slipping
  • Numerate and analytically strong with clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve campaign efficiency and automate repeatable processes

Desirable

  • Microsoft Advertising certified or actively working towards it
  • Experience managing Paid Social campaigns or working knowledge of Meta Ads
  • Familiarity with GA4, Looker Studio, or equivalent reporting tools
  • Experience contributing to agency partner relationships with Google or Microsoft
  • iGaming or regulated-sector experience — we'll get you up to speed if not
