As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Paint Lead to join our dynamic Paint team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hethel.
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Paint Lead to join our Body & Paint team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a manufacturing or automotive paint environment who is ready to lead by example, support a high-performing team, and help deliver world-class quality.
Working closely with the Production Supporter and Process Leader, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading a team of up to 10 people
- Ensuring safe working practices
- Maintaining production and quality standards
- Driving continuous improvement across the area
This role will be a 6-month secondment / FTC.
Twilight shift
What you'll be doing
- Leading and supporting a team to achieve daily production and quality targets.
- Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
- Ensuring documented processes and quality standards are consistently followed.
- Providing clear direction, coaching, and day-to-day support to team members.
- Supporting attendance, performance, and company policy processes.
- Ensuring tooling, consumables, and materials are available to keep production running.
- Managing incoming and outgoing stock to support the production schedule.
- Driving 5S and continuous improvement activities.
- Responding to quality feedback and implementing corrective actions.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues while remaining hands-on when required.

What we're looking for
Essential
- Experience working within a manufacturing or automotive Body & Paint environment.
- Previous experience leading or supporting a team.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and documented processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work under time-sensitive production targets.
- A flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude with a focus on quality and safety.
Desirable
- City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in Automotive Body Repair, Paint, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of automotive paint preparation techniques and materials.
- Experience of continuous improvement or business improvement techniques.
- Background within a production or assembly environment.

Salary for this role is £33,600 + overtime potential + disturbance allowance.
