Drive New Model Paint Manufacturing Excellence as a New Model Manufacturing Engineer – Paint

Location: Woking

Contract Basis: 12-month contract (inside IR35)

As a New Model Manufacturing Engineer – Paint, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing world-class paint manufacturing processes, supporting the introduction of new vehicle models from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities Of The New Model Manufacturing Engineer – Paint

  • Support cross-functional Design and Perceived Quality reviews for new vehicle programmes
  • Collaborate with R&D teams on new material concepts and paint technologies
  • Support Design Verification Plan (DVP) testing activities for new substrates
  • Develop new paint colours and manage application sign-off activities
  • Define and develop paint application methods, tooling, jigs, and fixtures
  • Support PFMEA and DFMEA activities
  • Contribute to facility and paint shop capacity planning initiatives
  • Support facility layout planning and manufacturing process development
  • Develop process documentation and product traceability methodologies
  • Generate and report Hours Per Car (HPC) metrics
  • Identify product-related concerns and support quality maturation activities
  • Escalate manufacturing and quality issues where required to ensure programme success

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 16:00pm

Pay: Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The final Umbrella pay rate offered will be inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards Employer Costs.
