Paint Sprayer — Bath Factory (Rotork)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paint Sprayer to work in the paint facility within the Bath factory, supporting the wider team in delivering high-quality work in a proactive role.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will join a team of paint operators as part of Rotork’s operations department. This is a critical role with the following key responsibilities:

  • Ensure Paint, Blast, Pre Wash, and Quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain paint shop processes and procedures, including EPA requirements
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements at all times
  • Take a proactive lead in continuous improvements, including lean and 5S procedures
  • Ensure equipment and tooling availability and proper maintenance
  • Assist the Team Leader in paint shop performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Complete all relevant workplace paperwork accurately and on time
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping
  • Requisition paint and materials for the shop floor
  • Provide timely responses to inspection reports
  • Highlight any abnormalities to the Team Leader
  • Carry out daily tasks related to the paint process
  • Assist in additional trained areas, when required

About the Role

This position is ideal for a communicative, team-oriented professional with experience in paint spraying, looking for a new challenge and eager to grow within a global leadership company.

### Qualifications & Experience

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • City and Guilds Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Paint Spraying
  • City and Guilds Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Shot Blasting
  • NACE or ICORR (Level 1, 2, or 3) would be advantageous
  • I.O.S.H. Qualification in Risk Assessing (highly desirable)
  • Substantial experience in paint spraying and shot blasting within an automated paint plant
  • Proven track record in related tasks with a strong, positive attitude
  • Understanding of safety policies, procedures, and hazards in a paint plant environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S techniques
  • Awareness of Health and Safety, Fire, and Environmental Policies

Core Competencies

  • Proficient in the use of all spray equipment and shot blasting tools
  • Understanding of paint methods, processes, and coatings
  • In-depth knowledge of paint products, systems, and methods
  • Familiarity with planning techniques, workflows, and efficiency measures
