Paint Technician

Location: Oldbury

Permanent

Salary: £ £36,972 - £41,080 per annum depending on experience

Working Hours: Night Shift – Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Paint Technician to join a specialist manufacturing and coatings environment supporting high-quality automotive and OEM projects. This position is suited to a skilled professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional cosmetic finishes while working within a fast-paced production environment.

The successful Paint Technician will support the preparation, painting, polishing, and finishing of specialist components including plastic and carbon fibre. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-specification projects where quality and attention to detail are key.

Duties And Responsibilities

Surface preparation of plastic and carbon fibre components Carry out primer, base coat and lacquer application Complete polishing and finishing activities to high cosmetic standards Inspect painted components to ensure quality standards are achieved Support production requirements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards within the paint area Work collaboratively with production and quality teams Support continuous improvement activities

The Ideal Paint Technician

Previous experience within an automotive or specialist coatings environment Experience spraying automotive components, prototypes, show vehicles or refinishing work Experience working with plastics and carbon fibre materials Strong experience within preparation, paint and polishing processes Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong organisational and time management skills
