The Opportunity
We are looking for a Painter to work on the manufacturing floor. Your responsibilities will involve setting up, operating, and tending machines to apply paint, epoxy, or rust-proofing materials across a range of colors.
Responsibilities
The role includes all of the following duties:
- Monitor machine gauges and operation to detect defects and adjust accordingly.
- Prepare products for painting, including steps like:
- Washing and sandblasting.
- Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspection or using specialised tools.
- Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays—or mix substances accordingly.
- Operate machines to paint or coat products using materials like:
- Paint.
- Epoxy.
- Rust-proof coatings.
- Regulate air pressure, circulation, and material flow by adjusting dials, hand wheels, valves, or switches.
- Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, or cleaning aids.
- Assemble hoses or nozzles using tools like wrenches and adjust settings.
- Arrange products on feed racks, spindles, or reel strands for coating, painting, or spraying using hands, hoists, or truck lifts.
- Label materials with job numbers, piece marks, or other identifying marks as required.

Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma
- One to two years of related experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
