Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Painter role based in Doncaster, with some work-from-home tasks such as paperwork, planning, and reporting. The Painter will prepare surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking, to ensure high-quality finishes on internal and external areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include applying paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, and carrying out painting and decorating tasks such as walls, ceilings, trims, doors, and other surfaces. The role involves following project specifications, mixing and matching colors, maintaining tools and equipment, and adhering to health and safety standards at all times. The Painter will coordinate with site supervisors, other trades, and clients as needed to meet deadlines and maintain a professional work environment.

  • Strong practical skills in paint application, including brush, roller, and spray painting techniques.
  • Experience in painting and decorating, including preparing surfaces and finishing interiors and exteriors.
  • Knowledge of coatings and finishes, and the ability to select appropriate products for different materials and environments.
  • Ability to read and follow job specifications, drawings, and instructions accurately.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites, including safe handling of materials and equipment.
  • Good attention to detail, time management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience as a Painter or in a similar construction or trades role; relevant trade qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
  • Reliable transportation to Doncaster and nearby sites, and willingness to work across various project locations.
