Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Painting and Decorating role based in London. The role involves preparing surfaces, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking areas to ensure a high-quality finish. Daily tasks include applying paints, coatings, and finishes by brush, roller, and spray equipment, and carrying out detailed decorating work on interiors and exteriors. The painter and decorator will follow job specifications, mix and match colors, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. The role also includes working to agreed timescales, collaborating with other trades, and communicating professionally with supervisors and clients.

  • Candidates should possess strong practical skills in Paint, Painting, and Painting and Decorating for interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge and experience with Coatings, including appropriate product selection and application for different substrates.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in Spray Painting techniques and safe operation of relevant equipment.
  • Relevant experience in property maintenance, refurbishment, or construction environments.
  • Ability to read and follow job specifications, drawings, and instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and safe working practices on-site.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in painting and decorating is beneficial.
