Pallet Network Manager

Pallet Network Manager - Eastleigh


Kinaxia are recruiting a Pallet Network Manager to join their team at their Eastleigh site. The role involves:

Role Summary

The Pallet Network Manager will:

  • Plan and execute collection and delivery schedules via the most cost-efficient and cost-effective means
  • Operate in line with business objectives, customer service levels, and current legislative requirements
  • Ensure full utilisation of IT systems and vehicles to optimise driver/vehicle/load/trailer allocation
  • Improve efficiency and profitability of the department and network

Working Hours

Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday mornings) 08:00 – 18:00


Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead team utilisation of IT systems and vehicles for accurate resource allocation
  • Provide leadership and motivation to drive improved productivity and sustained customer service
  • Develop and maintain safe working practices, ensuring compliance through internal and external audits

Team Development & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead training and development of staff to ensure right people, right roles, right time
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (internal/external)
  • Promote clear communication channels with internal and external customers

Data & Compliance

  • Monitor and secure information compliance with GDPR legislation
  • Produce, analyse and audit KPIs to refine processes, procedures, and profit margins

Requirements

Technical & Industry-Specific Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of:
    • Highway Code
    • EU tachograph requirements
    • Working Time Regulations
    • Road Transport Regulations
  • Experience with transport operation systems
  • Basic geographical & logistics knowledge
  • Comfortable following Health & Safety regulations

Certifications & Experience (Desirable/Internal)

  • Logistics qualification
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) or equivalent
  • Transport management experience

Leadership & Problem-Solving

  • Team management (developing, motivating, and leading employees)
  • Analysing and resolving logistics-related challenges
  • Ability to embed and promote required USP company values: Safe, Talented, Attentive, Reliable
