Position Title

Palliative Care Registrar

Employment Type & Details

  • Employment Type: Temporary, full-time
  • Classification: Registrar
  • Salary: $125,473 - $155,223 (per annum)
  • Location: North Canberra Hospital, Bruce, ACT
  • Section: Palliative Care
  • Commencement Date: 1 February 2027
  • Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
  • Closing Date: 2 August 2026

About the Role

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is committed to delivering high-quality, effective, person-centred care. Their services cover acute, sub-acute, primary, and community-based care for the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding regions.

This full-time Palliative Care Registrar position is open to PGY4+ applicants. The role will run from 1 February 2027 for a minimum of 12 months, subject to possibility of extension, under the supervision of Palliative Care Consultants.

Core Responsibilities

  • Medical support and participation in hospice, community, and hospital-based palliative care programs as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver person-centred palliative care services across multiple settings.

Eligibility Conditions

Prior to commencement, candidates must:

  • Complete a National Police Check.
  • Comply with Canberra Health Services’ Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy.
