Role: PAM Specialist

Location: Oxfordshire, UK

Duration: 6 Months, with potential extension

Role Type: Hybrid (2–3 days/week onsite)

Salary: Depending on experience


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced PAM (Privileged Access Management) Specialist to join a cybersecurity team in implementing, configuring, and managing a leading PAM platform. This is a hands-on technical role, focused on securing privileged accounts, monitoring sessions, and enforcing least privileged access across enterprise systems. You will work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure robust privileged access management practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure PAM solutions for credential vaulting and privileged access
  • Deploy and manage privileged remote access for internal and vendor accounts
  • Configure automated password rotation and privileged account workflows
  • Record, monitor, and manage privileged sessions, including just-in-time access and break-glass procedures
  • Onboard servers, network devices, and applications to the PAM platform
  • Discover, vault, and manage service, application, and shared accounts
  • Integrate PAM with SIEM for event logging and alerting
  • Manage upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and platform health
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, policies, and runbooks
  • Support audit and compliance reporting

Essential Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing PAM platforms
  • Privileged Remote Access expertise
  • Experience with credential vaulting, password rotation, and session monitoring
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and network device onboarding to PAM
  • Familiarity with Active Directory privileged accounts and SIEM integration
  • Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Beyond Trust certifications or experience with other PAM platforms (CyberArk, Delinea)
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation
  • Experience with database privileged access (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Knowledge of ITSM workflows and change control procedures
  • Experience in critical infrastructure or OT/ICS environments
