gap technical are recruiting for an experienced Panel Wirer to join a leading manufacturing business based in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional with experience in control panel wiring and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Wire and assemble electrical control panels to specification.
- Install and terminate wiring looms.
- Carry out crimping using both hand-operated and battery-powered crimping tools.
- Work with a wide range of cable types and sizes, from 0.5mm to 120mm.
- Install electrical control panels and associated equipment.
- Install and connect circuit breakers ranging from 100A to 2000A.
- Complete Current Transformer (CT) wiring.
- Install PLC controllers and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVRs).
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Follow engineering drawings and company procedures throughout the build process.

Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or an equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Apprentice-trained candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as a Panel Wirer or Electrical Fitter within a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of control panel wiring, AC/DC circuits, and industrial electrical systems.
