About the Immigration Team
Our Immigration group specialises in business immigration, helping UK and multinational organisations navigate the UK’s Points Based System and ensure seamless, cost-effective talent acquisition. As Ius Laboris members, we provide global mobility support across EMEA and APAC, coordinating across continents to ease relocation challenges.
We serve a diverse client base—multinationals, start-ups, and High Net Worth Individuals—with a particular focus on sectors like:
- Technology
- Sports
- Creative industries
- Professional services (law firms, financial services)

Our team delivers a full suite of immigration services, including:
- Sponsorship advice: Assisting with Skilled Worker Visas, Senior/Specialist Worker routes, Graduate visas, Sportsperson (Temporary Leave), and Creative routes
- Global Talent Visas
- Sponsor licence support:
- Obtaining, renewing (every 4 years), and maintaining compliance
- Managing Home Office audits and mock rights-to-work documentation checks
- Staff training, hotline services, and preventing illegal working violations
- Personal immigration applications for family members, indefinite leave to remain (ILR), British nationality, and ancestry routes (typically for senior employees and exec-level clients)
About the Role
The primary objective is to provide fee-earning support to the immigration team, assisting associates and partners with day-to-day tasks to ensure:
- Efficient, cost-effective task execution
- Proper delegation of responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Managing UK right-to-work applications under the Points Based System
- Drafting checklists, application forms, and cover letters
- Ensuring compliance with residence and immigration laws
- Liaising with UK Visas & Immigration (email/phone)
- Issuing Certificates of Sponsorship (COS) for clients
- Attending client meetings and explaining visa processes
- Advising on/preparing visa applications (work and family-based)
- Arranging Home Office appointments, collecting immigration charges, and payments
- Occasional travel to Lewis Silkin offices and client sites
