The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our global Risk & Compliance function. This is a broad and varied role supporting both our in-house lawyers and our risk and compliance professionals across a wide range of commercial and operational activities.
Reporting into the Global Head of Risk & Compliance, the successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, and Risk. You’ll be based with the UK team in our Birmingham office three days per week, giving you direct exposure to senior professionals and opportunities to develop and grow your practice.
This is an excellent role for a proactive, commercially minded paralegal who enjoys variety, wants to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Legal Support
- Draft, review and support negotiation of commercial contracts.
- Conduct sanctions screening (training provided).
- Support commercial due diligence and research relating to M&A and integrations.
- Assist with legal research and the preparation of clear, well‑structured advice notes.

Risk and Compliance Support
- Contribute to compliance initiatives, including data protection, monitoring regulatory developments, and our global compliance and ethics programme.
- Support risk management activities, including gathering information, preparing documentation and maintaining records.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on emerging legal and regulatory trends.
Operational Support
- Prepare documentation, reports and briefing packs for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records, registers and trackers relating to contracts, due diligence, and compliance matters.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Legal and Risk & Compliance teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Paralegal experience in a commercial team (either private practice or in‑house; ideally both).
- Strong drafting skills and comfort working with commercial contracts.
- Excellent communication skills – clear, concise and confident.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and able to balance multiple priorities.
- A practical, “can‑do” approach with high energy and curiosity.
- A genuine team player with strong core values aligned to our purpose and culture.
- Willing and able to attend the Birmingham office at least three days per week.
Desirable
- Experience supporting risk, compliance, investigations, or M&A activity.
- Exposure to GDPR, sanctions, KYC or other regulatory frameworks (training available).
- Interest in CSR, ethics, sustainability or responsible business topics.
- A law degree is welcomed but not required.
