We are looking for an experienced Paralegal with a background in personal injury, including catastrophic injury claims, to become part of our specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside recognised leaders in the field, supporting the handling of complex brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputation claims, while developing your expertise within a collaborative, supportive and growing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with and learn from leaders in the field in respect of catastrophic injury litigation and develop your legal knowledge in your role as Paralegal, supporting senior members of the team with their caseloads and taking responsibility for a wide range of general, administrative, and other legal services related tasks including:
- Drafting witness statements
- Attending conferences with counsel and experts and taking detailed notes
- Preparing court documents and bundles
- Obtaining, reviewing, and collating records
- Reviewing medical reports and preparing instructions to medical experts and counsel
- Researching case law on liability and quantum
- Liaising with clients and updating them on case progress
- Dealing with billing and disbursement payments

This role will initially be fully-office based for a settling in period, after which there will be the option to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Our paralegals support across the team – they need to be efficient, have exceptional attention to detail, maintain a very high standard when preparing communications and documentation, and possess a solid grounding in personal and serious injury claims work. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- Experience of Personal Injury work and catastrophic injury claims will be essential
- Strong team working ethic
- Ability to pro-actively prioritise and complete work to a high standard set by senior fee earners
- Excellent client care skills - communicate with clients of the department in a professional and empathetic manner both orally and in writing
- Strong academic record
- Excellent IT skills particularly with experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience using Proclaim Case Management System would be advantageous but is not essential
