Location: Nottingham / Hybrid

- Drafting legal documents

About the Clinical Negligence Department
We are one of the largest Clinical Negligence departments in the UK, with over 200 team members and a reputation as a leading national expert. Our work spans all clinical negligence cases, including the most severe injuries resulting from medical errors.

Main Responsibilities
- Achieve personal KPI targets set by the firm.
- Ensure timely, efficient, and proactive case progression.
- Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, third parties, and insurers as directed.
- Manage pre- and post-litigation procedures under supervision, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Complete all Proclaim Action List tasks within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records.
- Organise client files to meet Lexcel and quality assurance standards.
- Report to the Senior Lawyer as needed.
- Support with requesting and collating medical records.
- Prepare client documents, including witness statements.
- Handle early-stage clinical negligence caseloads and assist colleagues with general tasks.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Passion for clinical negligence (preferably some experience).
- Graduate status with a law-related degree (e.g., Law, LPC, route to the Bar, or CILEX qualification).
- Ability to follow direction and collaborate under supervision.
- Strong proven legal and forensic skills.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and organisational abilities.
- Attention to detail and facing-pressure street-smarts.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Client-focused mindset and commitment to results.
- Ability to work flexibly, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands.
